European ADRs Just Higher in Friday Trading

American depositary receipts of European stocks were trading 0.08% higher at 1,044.08 on the BNY Mellon Europe Select ADR Index on Friday.

In continental Europe, the gainers were led by brewing company AB InBev (BUD) and biopharmaceutical company MorphoSys (MOR), which rose 4.5% and 1.2% respectively. They were followed by 3D printer maker voxeljet (VJET) and furniture company Natuzzi (NTZ), which were up 1.1% and 0.4%.

The decliners in continental Europe were led by medical device maker Edap (EDAP) and biopharmaceutical company Genfit (GNFT), which fell 3.5% and 3.1% respectively. They were followed by Deutsche Bank (DB) and biopharmaceutical company argenx (ARGX), which lost 2.9% and 2.3%.

In the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by pharmaceutical company Avadel (AVDL) and biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics (AKTX), which rose 3.5% and 2.1% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications oeprator Vodafone Group (VOD) and mining company BHP Billiton (BBL), which were up 1.5% and 1.1%.

The decliners in the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical company Amarin (AMRN), and public relations firm WPP (WPP), which lost 2.8% and 2.2% respectively. They were followed by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), and insurance firm Prudential (PUK), which were off 1.6% and 1.1%.
